Why is the Austin GP so highly anticipated this year?
Austin isn’t just a late-season race. It’s also where the championship is often decided, on a demanding and spectacular track. The 5.513 km Circuit of the Americas features 20 corners and steep elevation changes. And that includes a legendary uphill first turn inspired by Silverstone and Istanbul.

What role will USA GP 2025 play in the title fight?
After the twists of the Singapore GP, the championship battle remains open. Lando Norris has closed the gap with teammate Oscar Piastri, while Max Verstappen remains in contention. With the sprint format offering up to 33 points, this GP could shake up the standings before the final rounds in Mexico and Brazil.
All eyes will also be on George Russell, the recent winner in Marina Bay. Add to that Ferrari who’s looking to bounce back after several disappointing races.
Austin weather outlook
The weekend is expected to be hot and dry, with temperatures between 30 and 33°C. The heat could affect tire management, especially in the long sequence of fast corners where degradation is high. Teams will need to adapt strategies to maintain a strong pace until the finish.
