Gabriele Mini, who had finished in P2 in the F3 Feature Race today, has since been disqualified.Â?

The 2024 Formula 3 Championship finished today with Leonardo Fornaroli winning the title fight to become the first Italian F3 champion. His main rival, Gabriele Mini, finished ahead of him in second and had provisionally won the championship until the final lap of the race.
However, Mini has since been disqualified from the Feature Race result, promoting Fornaroli to P2 and Christian Mansell to the final podium position.
The FIA have confirmed that the reason behind the disqualification is that the tyre pressures on Mini’s car were “below the minimum tyre pressure prescribed” by the Pirelli Technical Preview.
FIA’s Statement
In the document released by the FIA explained:
“The Stewards examined tyre pressure measurement data provided by the FIA Technical Delegate. They summoned the Driver and the Team Representative and heard from the Team Representative.”

It continued stating that the “Pirelli Technical Preview for the Event specified a minimum front tyre pressure of 15.5 PSI and a minimum rear tyre pressure of 14.5 PSI.
“The FIA Technical Delegate reported that when measured during parc ferme after the Feature Race, the pressure in both front tyres was found to be under 14.9 PSI and the pressure in both rear tyres was found to be under 14.1 PSI.
“The Team accepted the FIA Technical Delegate’s measurements and acknowledged that it followed that Article 12.9 of the Technical Regulations had been breached in this case. The Team Representative attributed the infringement to an error made by the Team in calibration of its tyre pressure measuring device.”
Whilst Mini has been disqualified, this does not change the outcome of the F3 Championship as Luke Browning failed to score points so Mini remains the vice-champion.
