Nikita Bedrin spun out on Lap 12 after being hit in the side by Mari Boya bringing out the Virtual Safety Car of the season. The green flag was shown and Browning shot away, Beganovic stuck close to the Briton. Leon was running in the top five, however, was hit and suffered from a puncture.

Christian Mansell moved ahead of Oliver Goethe, with the Australian now on the hunt for a podium. Dunne, Tramnitz and Stenshorne were the next group of drivers to be handed a penalty.
Up at the front the pressure was building for Browning who had the pair of PREMA’s running closely, this paves the way for Mansell to fight his way up into third. Mini wasn’t going to make this move easy for Mansell with the Italian snatching back the position.
